The Marvelous Maytals

The Maytals were an early Jamaican ska band who coined the term "reggae" and helped define its sound. In the 1960s during their Studio One days, The Maytals competed with The Wailers for top billing. They produced music all through the seventies and helped ignite the revival of ska and reggae in Britain in the late seventies and early eighties. They still tour regularly (I saw them last week).
